She watched as a little portal slowly started to form, and the blonde girl wipe a drop of sweet from her forehead before it could travel down her head. She didn't think it would be sooooo hard to open a portal today, she didn't understand why it took so much effort. Usually she could easily open a portal big enough for two or three to travel across ziel, and all she wanted to do was go to the market. She wouldn't lie though, she was really distracted when she tried to summon it, her thoughts keep going back to Alex and even the throne Soul. The Pokemon world would be so interesting.
"Come on Miles." she called trying her back around to see her Smeargle running towards her. She titled her head and wondered why he looked so frightened and why he was running. And then she saw the group of beedrills closely after Miles. She started to walk backwards, when her back foot hit a rock. Slowly starting to tumble backwards she held out her hand. She knew the moment she went through the portal it would close. Miles was in trouble, was her one thought. The dog like pokemon sped up, just barely getting a hold of the whisper keepers fingers before the both feel down the portal in the worse fashion they could.
She really didn't expect to get warped to some place in the air. All she could see was the ground rushing at her and white hair. (Abi wasn't really high in the air, probably around six feet) She brought Miles closer to her, holding on to him for dear life and she roughly hit the ground, and whatever poor sap was under her. She looked around hazily, staring up at the blue sky. She noticed some tree over in the distance, though she really didn't care. Her back ached and her head hurt and she had no idea where she was! Miles on the other hand, slowly pried himself free of her grip, it was considerably easier after she had hit the ground and stood up. He pointed at the white boy she had landed on her, and said some words that portrayed his confusion. It only came out as "smeeeear gle!" and really didn't help.
"where am I?" Abi managed to moaned, slightly shifting her position. It still hadn't really occurred to her that she landed on top of someone. She was still trying to get over the shock or being in the air when she was suppose to be at the market. The whisper keeper had yet to come to the realization that she landed on someone and probably spoiled their day and hurt them.

RUN SAND HOURGLASS ITS MY TIME WILL I BE WORTH? Within the green shrubs that lined the forest slanted yellow eyes narrowed. The reptilian Pokémon drew in a careful measured breath that barely stirred the leaves that clung to the thin branches of the small shrub –the leaves and seeds on its back providing the perfect camouflage to mix with the green of the rain forest. Carefully it tilted its head upward openings its mouth to taste the air –get a better feel of its surroundings. Pokémon, fruit, ferns, flowers and the clinging moisture of fresh rain wafted through the air and into its throat and with another careful movement it lowers its head, ducking beneath the leaves and watching carefully what went around it. The Forest Pokémon was uneasy, the scents of the forest were familiar and the moist earth, branches and leaves that littered the ground were nothing unusual but for some reason it just couldn’t shake off the creeping feeling that there was something nearby, something that wasn’t your average harmless forest creeper. Its yellow eyes narrowed to angry slits and slowly it lifted one clawed talon from the ground, making its way closer to what it believed to be a danger zone.
A crack in the distance.
It stopped walking, still, a faint breeze picked up, it whistled through the branches bringing new scents with it. The Sceptile closed its eyes and tilted its head upwards letting his jaw hang open tasting the air yet again this time for more specific smells, pick apart the different Pokémon, maybe even people there. The remnants of a Gloom’s putrid smell, the delicate smell of a Tropius’ fruits, the reptilian smell of one of its own, faint, very faint. It shifted the angle of its head, cocking it to the side to catch more –the acidic dust expelled by Dustox, the sweet cloud of scent brought on by Beautifly, a Seedot or was it a Nuzleaf? A flock of Tailow too, it could even hear them chattering away in the distance murmuring low bird songs that brought the smallest of sounds echoing through the cavernous woods. Then with a jolt the Sceptile realized what was wrong –the sounds. A forest as large and abundant as this would be brimming with them, the chattering of Pokémon, the whistling of birds, the flapping of wings, the gentle coos of the smallest Pokémon. But not here, not now. It paused, if it would have been a dog the reptile’s ears would have been swiveling on its head as it tried to pick a sound as it was it was merely still, its hide melding into the forest floor as good as any Kecleon. Another snap and the Tailow’s chattering ceased completely.
- - -
The rustling of branches and crunching of leaves alerted him to Alex’s presence even before the reptile could be seen. Ruby’s head swiveled ‘round and he even stood to greet the Pokémon back a question already forming on his lips but dying there when Alex rose a claw in a ‘stop’ motion and with a grunt it lowered itself to its foreleg which had gotten stuck on a vine, but before Ruby could help his friend the Sceptile simply thrust the leg forward, the vine snapping like a dry twig under the pressure of his muscles. It stumbled its way noisily towards Ruby and it didn’t take a genius to know something was bothering his friend. The trainer frowned; Alex prided himself on his stealthy silence, quick wits and unmatched speed so when he wasn’t making any effort to practice or in some way show off these skills you knew something was wrong. However, Ruby allowed the Sceptile to pad the rest of the way towards him, only pausing when it was before its trainer, lowering its eyes to meet Ruby’s crimson ones.
“Did you find anything?” he suggested helpfully, already knowing the answer before the Sceptile shook his head and sighed, Ruby joined in on that sigh as well, wanting to get through the whole ordeal already. The story went that the two had decided they needed a change and scenery which would explain why they were tromping through a forest in the first place –the forest was for Alex, because truthfully the Forest Pokémon was getting tired of cities, dust and cement and Ruby was all for it. However shortly after they entered the forest, getting tangled in all sorts of vines, branches and clinging flowers something attacked them, one minute they were looking at a shifting of movement that caught their attention and the next they were being chased down by SolarBeams glittering white and green and of course both Pokémon and trainer had no alternative but to bolt from there as fast as they could because no matter how both of them tried they could not, for the life of them, identify the source of the attacks –it seemed that the Pokémon were still moving darting just out of sigh as the pair’s eyes swept over them
Now Ruby was lost in the middle of a forest, he had located a clearing –sunlight filtered through the trees lighting an area decorated with small flowers, long blades of grass and slick black rocks. The Hoenn trainer had just been sitting in one such rock before the reptile walked into the clearing. Now he pursed his lips and frowned in thought trying to make sense of what this could all mean but before he could come to any conclusion a wild yell was heard somewhere above him and less than half a second later he felt something plummet against his shoulders, back and barely missed his neck (this would have probably made it snap clean in two) and fell forward with a heavy thud, letting out a groan of pain as his face came in contact with the sharp blades of grass and the full force behind whatever fell on his beck let itself known.
Alex was taken aback for half a second, his yellow eyes wide and starring. But quickly he shook himself and like anything that would dare harm his trainer it was ready for attack. Without so much of a warning it charged forward prepared to let this girl feel the full sting of its weight and of course remove her from his trainer’s back.

Then she heard him groan. In a quick instant the blonde girl was sitting up, blinking her dark blue eyes in confusion as she stared down at the white haired boy's back. "Ahsorry."
she said hastily, jumping up and trying to get away. Abi didn't a very good job at getting away though, Her foot got caught, probably on the boy she just landed on, and she ended up tripping once again, falling flat on her face. "oooooow." she groaned, rubbing her nose as she flipped around, not wanting to lay face first into the ground much longer. Then she saw the giant grass lizard coming at her with the intent to kill. She started to shake her hands at it, backing up ever so slightly. "sorry mister lizard," she managed to stumble out before Miles cut in front of her, glaring at the lizard. 'stay away.' the painting pokemon threatened, as Abi still looked upon the scene in confusion. "I didn't mean to land on your owner." she mumbled, placing her hand on her neck and rubbing it slightly. "I just wanted to go to the market place." she added with a hefty sigh, looking down at the ground. She kicked up some dirt and looked back at the white haired boy. "I'm sorry." she said, nodding her head. Good god, today wasn't going very smoothly for poor little Abi. Then she heard a faint cry of another pokemon. The young blonde whisper keep titled her head, and quickly ran her eyes around the clearing once. Nothing seemed out of place, the wind was blowing slightly, and the leaves crackled and swayed with the little gust. She narrowed her blue eyes just slightly, focusing on a little part of the forest. It seemed normal, so she turned her vision back to the boy and his lizard. "I don't think we are alone Miles." she muttered slightly, smiling just faintly. Just then, a roar of a Tropuis could be heard throughout the forest, and within seconds a herd of them buzzed into the clearing. It didn't take long for the herd of pokemon to completely encircle the few people in the clearing. For some reason, they looked pissed too. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

THIS COULD BE MY CHANCE TO BREAK OUT. He tasted grass on his lips and safe it to say it wasn’t pleasant –he also felt that same dead weight on his back, shifting around slightly. However, right now he didn’t care if it was Donkey Kong come for revenge, right now what he was wondering as his body registered a dull throb every now and then was –how the hell did something fall on his head? He’d accept a tackle, maybe even a dead hand popping from under the earth and attempt to pull him under but what he wouldn’t accept was something this big and heavy falling on him from the sky! And, Arceus, was it heavy or maybe that was the what the dull throb on his head, arms, stomach and back were telling him –maybe it was just a harmless Hoppip that fell from three hundred feet in the air. The thing shifted on his back again and he suppressed a groan –a really fat Hoppip that was. Suddenly the weight left him and the young trainer hastily straightened himself to an awkward seat on the damp grass, marveling at how bits and pieces clung to his chest and tiny cuts now dotted his hands. Before he could lift his eyes and look at whatever had fallen on his back, however, his view was blocked by a large and very annoyed grass reptile.
Confused –he looked up, but Alex’s back was to him, however there was no mistaking the threatening growl that rumbled in his throat and how his tail swished behind him menacingly –like a cat preparing to pounce. He blinked, unsure if it was completely safe to call the Forest Pokémon off, after all, maybe whatever fell on his back wasn’t as harmless as a Hoppip –or maybe it had a very, very ugly face, such a thing wouldn’t agree with the quick tempered reptile –he need that much. "Sorry, mister lizard," he heard coming from the area where whatever fell on him had rolled off to. It was a girl’s voice; the crunch of grass followed the words and then quick soft footfalls of something lighter. At the sound of the girl’s words Alex seemed to relax somewhat but then he stiffened all over again and another growl leapt from his throat. Something that sounded like another warning answered him back –a Pokémon’s cry something that Alex didn’t agree with. One second the overgrown lizard was standing still, eyes narrowed against his unexpected opponent then half a second later it drew its body back and aimed one swift blow with its tail –one that if it made contact would surely send the smaller Pokémon spiraling in the other direction.
It hissed –the tone behind it suggesting that if the Pokémon would have known English it would have been a curse of some kind, just as the other trainer mumbled a hasty "I'm sorry."
Here Ruby stood up, wanting to asses any damage the girl might have done but his thoughts were swiftly interrupted by a faraway roar. Alex’s head snapped in that direction as if he had just been electrocuted and hastily he moved to Ruby’s side, eager to know that his trainer was safe and sound. Ruby barely acknowledged the Pokémon, turning his eyes to look in the direction the sound came from, knowing his eyes couldn’t possibly be sharper than Alex’s but having to look all the same. "I don't think we are alone Miles," the girl muttered just as shuffling sounds could be heard about the clearing. A snap of a twig there, the rustling of branches here, Alex’s eyes narrowed, letting out another growl –a frustrated sound that confirmed Ruby’s thoughts that this had something to do with their attack earlier. There was a moment of complete silence which made Ruby completely sure that whatever it was had surrounded them, then slowly the shadows started moving and he caught glimpses of the Pokémon. Ruby swung his head around, trying to count them.
They were Tropius –now he understood why they haven’t seen them before, in the half-light of the forest if the Pokémon stood still one could easily dismiss them as trees or leaves. Two… four… five, Alex pounded his tail against the ground in annoyance –his jaw clenched, trying to count them just as his trainer was doing. He figured they couldn’t be more than eight, either way they clearly outnumbered the two trainers and the Pokémon inside the clearing and he had a feeling that the very fact suited the Tropius extremely well. Two of the Tropius stepped forward and without any warning charged towards the clearing, one charging towards each trainer, bucking just at the last moment to stomp them to the ground. Alex wasted no time in tackling his trainer out of the way, rolling on his back to try to prevent Ruby from getting trampled over by the reptile’s dead weight.
He was on his back, Alex hanging above him on all fours and the slow rumble of a growl leaping from his throat –his jaw was clenched, his yellow eyes narrowed. Hastily, Ruby reached for a Pokeball, knowing that the Sceptile alone couldn’t take care of a whole swarm of Tropius –he didn’t even count the girl in his head, momentarily having forgotten completely about her.

And bam, Miles didn't complete understand what had happened. He laid on his back, staring up at the bright blue sky. He blinked his eyes, closing them for a slight second. His chest felt tight and sore at the same time. He let out a faint breath, finding it hard to breathe at the same time. This wasn't something the Smeargle enjoyed. Did that beast really have to swat at him. He was only doing the same thing that Alex was doing. That was protecting the one person who he trusted the most. So maybe the Smeargle's bark was worst then it's bite. Miles would admit to anyone he didn't have any bite at all. He liked to claim pacifism, finding it easier to work out problems with words. Of course no one ever agreed to that. Miles let out another whimper and opened his eyes to see that the sky was no longer in view. Nope, a mess of blonde hair hung over his head like a willow tree's branches. Miles looked at Abi strangely, it wasn't often that she stood over him, making sure that the pokemon was okay.
Abi probably expected the hit less then Miles did. At one moment she was happy, thinking that maybe the forest pokemon finally understood that she meant no harm. She ran a hand through her blond hair, stopping to tuck a little bit behind her hair. The blonde strand of hair didn't stay tucked behind her ear for very long. When Alex unexpectedly swung his tail the blonde whisper keeper jumped back in surprise, his big blue eyes watching as her little dog like pokemon was hit square in the chest and then thrown across the clearing. She had jumped to her feet within a second of it crashing, completely ignoring the tropius that encircled them. Leaning over Miles she let out a faint smile. "You aren't that strong yourself huh?" she asked giggling slightly.
Then she heard the not faint foot steps of the tree like pokemon running towards her. She swung her head around to glance behind, biting her lip. The only option right now was to run, and to run fast. She focused slightly, willing the strands inside her body to form a little portal. Grabbing Miles by the hand, she disappeared into the portal, just to reappear a couple feet ahead, standing right by the boy she had just landed on. Miles stood right besides Abi, most of his weight being put on the side that was lifted up by Abi's hand. 'Can I request not moving so fast?' Miles asked, his head throbbing slightly from the warping. It was like flying yet ten times worse and much faster.
"Uh sir?" she asked the boy she had just landed on, averting her gaze so that she was looking at him in the eyes. "Can you explain why those things are so pissed as to attack us?" she asked, changing her gaze to look at the one that just tried to headbutt her. Not only did it have a look of confusion in it's eyes -because how often does a girl and a smeargle disappear right before you eyes- it seemed ten times madder. Abi frowned slightly as she watched the Tropius bat it's head around in a circle. It roared once again, before stomping it's front left foot on the ground over and over again. "It looks ready to attack." she sighed this time looking at Miles. Miles meet her glance and shrugged. Abi knew well enough that Miles couldn't fight. It really only meant Rosa, and well, as Abi remembered correctly, Rosa wasn't the best to listen either. Nope her miltank failed at the aspect of listening. Mostly Rosa just wanted to scold Miles about not being good enough.

THIS COULD BE MY CHANCE TO BREAK OUT. Bloody dinosaurs, Ruby could only think as the place started to get crowded by them –as they started to get surrounded by them. Alex still hung over him –a snarl ripping from his throat as he watched the Tropius move. The Pokémon’s eyes were darting everywhere, sharp and insistent, analyzing everything and everyone, taking in every detail with a precision no human could hope to achieve –he evaluated the situation in his brain then snarled again when he realized it wasn’t good. They were outnumbered and if he could Pound the shit out of that Smeargle so easily the Tropius could just as easily stomp in until it was a pancake –that meant it couldn’t exactly rely on the fact that the other Pokémon would keep his side of the battle, nope, not at all. He had to rely in the fact that Ruby had a nice descent head over his shoulders and would think of something quickly. The clearing was much too small for Damen –the huge Dragon-type would barely be able to crane his head without smacking into any trees. Ruby would have to depend on his other Pokémon like Sam –but in such a tight space it wasn’t safe to let her bolts of electricity simply ran amuck, maybe the Smeargle could stand as a conductor so no on else got electrocuted.
Then again, he was pretty sure that he could take care of all this himself –if only Ruby thought of a plan, his were normally rather thorough.
But the trainer’s mind was foggy at the moment with the dull throb that gnawed at his brain. He couldn’t think with his usual quickness when there were so many things going on in addition to pain that made his thoughts scatter.
Then from out of fucking nowhere the girl appears in front of Ruby and Alex. Ruby would have thought he had imagined it if it wasn’t for the sudden flinch the Sceptile gave –a vicious snarl ripping from his throat at the sudden nearness. The teenager swore he just leaped in place, but couldn’t be so sure being pinned down by his partner’s body. "Uh sir?" she asked and Ruby met her gaze with wide-eyes unsure if he was suppose to snap at her or listen to her, but before he could make up his mind she continued on: "Can you explain why those things are so pissed as to attack us?"
…
“Because they like feeding on stupid girl faces –how the fuck am I suppose to know?!” grumbled Ruby, exasperated with the whole situation and pushing Alex away from him so he could stand. What the hell of a question was that anyway? Because he could read a Pokémon’s mind and tell what the group was thinking of, yes, that was completely it. He looked like a damned mind reader. Well didn’t that just make him snap-happy-good day. He stood then, eyeing the clearing warily and watching how the Tropius moved and roared about –craning their heads to keep everything in sight. Their eyes were narrowed and angry, but he couldn’t tell what exactly they were thinking of. So that meant he wasn’t a mind reader. Alex was doing something similar, his eyes narrowed as it took in every possibility of attack and retaliation.
"It looks ready to attack," she said again, turning to look down at her Smeargle which merely shrugged. Ruby found himself resisting the urge to slap his palm against his face and run it through his hair. Next time someone fell on his head he wanted them to at least have a Pokémon that wasn’t useless, y’know, a damned Caterpie or something that could at least be comfortably kicked a good distance away so he could run while the rabid Pokémon devoured it. The Smeargle, however, didn’t look the least appetizing –it still looked kickable though, maybe he should tell Alex to Pound it straight towards the nearest Tropius then run like hell. Could work… or it couldn’t… either way there had to be something done.
So it was that when one of the Tropius whipped around –the one the girl had just abandoned– and glared holes into the four that Ruby decided to just test them and see what exactly they were meaning to do. Why send only two of the gang where everyone could attack all at once and take them out more efficiently. That could mean that whomever decided to torment the trainers was simply toying with them for the moment –didn’t want to hurt the, just scare them off.
The dino-like Pokémon took a step towards them before tilting his head downwards and rushing into a tackle, intent, apparently, in kicking the crud out of them in any way it possibly could. “Pound!” barked Ruby and Alex gingerly obeyed. The grass lizard stepped forward and threw his body back in order to provide more strength on his lower-half then swung his tail forward, efficiently smacking into the Tropius’s head and slamming the thing into the ground –the fruit that hung from its neck getting squished against the floor with the sound you expect to hear from squelching mud. Another Tropius charged blindly after them –apparently ignoring his predecessor’s unfortunate “demise.”
