"Jaela, stop this foolishness." A voice said. It weaved through the trees before reaching the hiding trainer. "Shut up, Zee. You need to be quiet. Try being useful and do what I told you." In the trees above the Watcher's hiding spot, a Chatot appeared before giving a narrowed glare. A remark had formed in the flying pokemon's mind, but she let it go before disappearing into the trees again. <Bun. Buneary. Bun. Bun.> Jaela noted the heavier pitch of her Chatot’s calls as she mocked their target’s cry.
Slowly, she readied her pair of binoculars, searching the grasses for their brown friend. Nothing. The binoculars lowered as she felt a nibble on her toes. “Sea, Dee, quit that,” said Jaela as she looked below her. <I don’t think this small pond is the best hiding spot,> replied her feebas. “Nonsense. This is the perfect place. If one comes for a drink of water, then we might learn something new.” The feebas glared at the trainer before submerging. Jaela dipped her head as the fish disappeared underneath.
“Tssk,” she retorted as she assumed her position. She had gained some success in Ilex Forest using this process, but it was not comfortable. After a while, the body began to chill her body since all she wore was a blue tankini. Sure, her clothes were gathered in a neat pile with a light towel on top, but the pile’s purpose was to keep her clothes from getting wet. <Bun.> <Bun.> Two voices, she thought as her eyes went wide. Her damp hands reached for her binoculars, scanning the area. There she saw a brown pokemon, hopping as it went and scooping berries when she rested under the trees.
<Didn’t you want to sketch the Buneary? Cannot really do it when you are all wet?> the feebas said as she poked her head above and dived again. Shit, thought Jaela as her grip tightened on the binoculars. There was nothing that could have been done about it. She stayed focused, nothing the movement of the wild Buneary’s ears as it munched contently on berries and blades of grass. Jae’s mind drifted as her legs kicked every couple of seconds, but it came back when the Buneary came near the small pond Jae swum in. The watcher set her binoculars down as she slinked back in the water, but she kept her eyes pinned to the buneary. Stopping, the Buneary sniffed the pile of clothes. It buried its head in the towel before throwing it in the grass. Jaela couldn’t stop her curiosity so her head rose, watching the normal pokemon toss her clothes whichever way it pleased. After putting each article of clothing on its head, the Buneary’s head turned toward Jaela.
The Watcher and pokemon’s eyes locked for a few moments before the Buneary gave off an alarmed call. Its yellow fur bristled as the buneary darted to the lake’s edge before unrolling its ears, knocking Jaela in the face. The impact knocked her head back along with her torso. She rubbed her cheek before looking at her Chatot. "Use Sing, Zee." A light voice danced from the trees and surrounded the pokemon. Buneary looked quite confused as its head looked around. Soon the song drifted the Buneary to sleep. “Thanks, Zee,” she said to her flying pokemon as she retrieved a towel. Jaela took the towel in one hand and splashed on the water’s surface. “Finish up your swim, you too. Changing positions in a few minutes.” Jae scanned the area, picking her scattered clothes before hiding in a thick shelter of bushes as she changed out of her bathing suit and into her normal clothes. Zee perched herself on a nearby tree, waiting for her trainer to finish but loyal as ever, her eyes scanned the area for another trainer. The bird pokemon could handle a wild pokemon, but a trainer was a different manner. Still, Zee wouldn’t allow Jae to be disturbed.
