Doctrine knew the places & landscapes of Ziel as if the realm was the back of her hand. She was an immortal after all, she had plenty of time to familiarize herself with the surroundings of her home world. She also saw it change before her eyes slowly as she lived. She remembered it a bit more darker when she was first born, many years ago. It was a chaotic world, with winds of cold harsh breaths over the fields. Later on it become a bit more quiet, she watched Ziel walk towards the light a bit more than crawling for the darkness. That was until the next Thrones were chosen & given their titles. Doctrine was expecting Ziel to fall more into darkness since Mind could easily take care of Heart's fragile being. Doctrine being an immortal herself knew well who was going to take the Immortal throne position until Soul appeared, and was given the Human Throne title.
Now things were getting out of hand. Mind had some real competition now. However Doctrine secretly came to like Soul's company. She was her mentor of things, she remembered explaining everything about Ziel's history with Soul. She worried for her a bit, perhaps the time she spent teaching her was spinning a thread of a connection or relationship. That wasn't good. She knew she wouldn't see Soul for much longer, time went by very fast. Time was a long endless river with raging currents that swallowed anything in it's path and carried it away into the unknown. The unknown that was too far away from anyone's reach no matter how far you stretched your arms.
Doctrine currently was taking residence in her usual home in the Othapian Peaks. It was always her specific habitat in Ziel she always enjoyed. She loved the scenery of the mountains, the jewels embedded across the earth's skin. The Crystal Rock Mines were made to pull out Ziel crystals form that skin, although oddly Doctrine wasn't that bothered as long as it didn't become a huge problem. She was walking barefoot across the cold, uneven stone floor. Being a Sage and being an Immortal, she didn't worry too much about her clothing. In fact most of time she wore a white one-piece cloth over her body. She cut her foot a few times, but she easily healed them fast. Killing any Immortal wouldn't be an easy task. The young-looking girl continued to walk until she was perched up high on a pointed boulder. She gazed at the grey sky that never seemed to change.

“ PULL THE PLUG, ” { BUT I'D LIKE TO LEARN YOUR NAME. } “Move it you idiot!”
“Make me!”
“MOVE!”
“NO!”
There couldn’t possibly be a tighter bond between Pokémon and trainer when the Pokémon in question was refusing to budge out of the way of the thing curving path that wound its way through the wind-battered peaks of the Othapian Peaks. The Kecleon was in the process of snapping at his trainer whenever he tried walking nearer into the path and before Vortex had a chance to take a swipe at his dear friend Arceus would just fade out of sight and appear half a second later behind his trainer prepared to tackle the shit out of him. Don’t get him wrong, Vortex was used to Arceus’ idea of fun and he was having a blast attempting to yell his lungs out at the Kecleon but since as was habit, Whisper Keepers couldn’t exactly muster much of a voice it ended up being just barely what one could be considered the “normal” volume of voice anyone should speak with. Then it was back to full circle with the playful Kecleon teasing his trainer and Vortex stumbling blindly forward in an attempt to catch it. At the moment he was trying to do the opposite of that, he was trying to evade the chameleon, but Arceus was always one step ahead of his friend.
At the moment Vortex wasn’t sure if to cry out in frustration or to just laugh his guts out.
A smile played at his lips however as he tried to make his way forward, only to be blocked by the Kecleon, Arceus flicked his tongue out at him and giggled maniacally as Vortex took a step back –he frowned. “So, you’re not letting me pass, eh?” he whispered, a smirk lighting his features. Arceus flashed a smirk back and shook his head slowly from side to side. “Aw,” sighed Vortex, “I can’t get past the evil Kecleon, whatever shall I do?” he jived and here Arceus frowned. His trainer was a stubborn man and he knew for a fact that he wouldn’t admit defeat unless giving it a good try, he had barely tried. It was only perhaps three minutes into their game this wasn’t like his trainer, wasn’t like him at all. The reptilian pursed his lips, his small black eyes narrowing as in took in his trainer’s confident pose. He stood straight and tall, his eyes were lighted with that childish humor they always had and his hands clenched and unclenched uneasily as if preparing himself for something. The jacket –lined with fur he usually wore rested low over his shoulders and a simple black shirt and loose jeans with worn sneakers completed his outfit –his black hair was sticking at odd angles, windswept from all the running and jumping amongst the rocks.
Arceus realized what Vortex was going to do just as the Whisper Keeper faded from sight.
Vortex appeared just behind the Kecleon, a smile permanently screwed on his face and one finger reaching forward to touch his friend’s hide. “You’re it!” he cheered, turning back and breaking into a run before the bewildered Kecleon could even blink.
A mischievous smile lit his face and his head gingerly whipped around, its muscles bunching underneath it as it prepared for a wild leap forward. However its claws barely touched Vortex’s heel and landing with a heavy thud made himself run full-pelt towards its trainer, roaring with wild giggles as it did so.
“Too slow!” taunted Vortex, turning his head around slightly just to catch Arceus going for another wild leap forward and just missing snatching on the hoodie of his jacket. He chuckled silently to himself and scrambled up the rocks, his steps shadowed by Arceus –a far more adept climber than he could ever be. The Pokémon caught up with him as he scrambled up a rather steep ledge or rock, attaching himself to Vortex’ back in the middle of the climb. As he reached firm ground Vortex simply sat straight, panting heavily as the Kecleon’s claws dug softly into his shoulders and back –already used to hold of his claws having done something similar many times before. Wearily he scrambled to his feet catching sight of someone barely a foot or two before him.
He blinked, what was sitting before him slowly dawning upon him until a lazy smile spread across his face.
“Don’t think I quite expected to find someone here,” he drawled in his typical barely-above-a-whisper voice.

Doctrine's eyes were transfixed on the dull, same sky for awhile as she trailed off into her past memories. To think os much time had passed already. She really should feel quite old right now, but how could she? Doctrine took a moment to glance at her hands, the skin was still soft and full of youth. It was sort of random whenever an Immortal stops aging, but it's mostly when they look like an adult or so. Doctrine looked like she was about seventeen years old or so, the same age as Soul. And she was going to stay like that for a long time. She couldn't even change most of her physical features. If she cut her hair it would grow back to its original length. Not instantly, but it will not grow longer than that. Doctrine recalled learning more about her race as she developed the stage where she stopped physically aging and when she was able to access her healing abilities.
She slowly turned towards the direction of an familiar voice. Having been around a long time, it was somewhat uncommon of her to meet people she never recognized at all. "Things aren't always going to be what you expect. You'd be very surprise to find out there's more around here than you must've previously thought." She moved some of the locks of her dark hair away from her face, placing it behind her ears. "... Who are you?"
If he did visit the mountains a lot, the she would've recognized him at least a little bit, but Doctrine didn't know anything about this current stranger, she'd never seen his face before in her life. After a few seconds Doctrine was starting to get a little suspicious of this stranger. It seemed like he'd never been around, but why would he suddenly come now? How could she never really met him before either? She was well aware of most of citizens in Ziel. Doctrine narrowed her eyes. She didn't like it, a foreign person on the grounds of her domain. Perhaps it might not be very smart to immediately be cautious with someone she didn't even exactly meet yet, but she felt it was necessary to be so. "......." She had a feeling she needed to know why he was here, and what he was or was planning to do in Othapian Peaks. "What are doing around here?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

“ DO YOU HAVE THE TIME, ” { TO LISTEN TO ME WHINE. } The more he looked at the girl the more she struck him as odd –she was barefoot he noticed, her brown hair loose around her. Why would she be barefoot on a mountain? He wondered, after all rocks were known to be at least uncomfortable when they dug into your skin not to mention if they were sharp but she seemed to be completely at home with her shoeless feet and smooth stones as if she had a walk like this everyday ever since she was eight years old and was simple reliving an old haunt. However, Arceus seemed to be thinking differently for the Kecleon wrapped his claws around the hair at the top of Vortex’ head and with a forceful yank forced him to turn his attention from the girl to him, his expression was an angry scowl and only then did the Whisper Keeper realized that he had pinned the lizard against his back and the rocks behind them, with a goofy grin as his response he simply leaned back harder against the wall of rock behind him assuring that the Kecleon was being squashed down and for once –the Pokémon, noticing that if he complained his trainer will just squash him all the more, sighed dramatically and let his body slump against his trainer’s back.
"Things aren't always going to be what you expect. You'd be very surprised to find out there's more around here than you must've previously thought." the girl explained receiving as a response two pairs of blank stares. Both blinked simultaneously as they tried to process what exactly the girl could possibly mean. Something about surprises and being surprised? Well, that certainly wasn’t the reaction either expected from the portal’s statement, at best they expected some kind of laidback acknowledgement or perhaps the girl ignoring them both –maybe even her crumbling to a pile of dust and ashes and getting blown away by the wind, an illusion from the mountain. Now, however, the trainer and Pokémon were receiving some philosophical crap about expecting the unexpected which really made no sense. If it’s unexpected how can you expect it. It was an oxymoron –that’s what it was and now she was trying to feed it to a Whisper Keeper and a Kecleon who couldn’t possibly care less. "... Who are you?"
Oh, now that was something the pair could help her with.
Predicting his trainer’s movement, Arceus tightened his grip on Vortex’s shoulders so he wouldn’t topple off to the ground when the portal straightened to a stand. The Kecleon clung to his trainer’s back like a backpack, his arms thrown over Vortex’s shoulders for support and his hind legs wrapping awkwardly around the trainer’s midsection to prevent him from slipping off –his head peeking over Vortex’ right shoulder so he could easily see what his trainer was facing. The Whisper Keeper shortened the little distance between the girl and himself, thrusting a hand forward in greeting –a cheerful smile pulling at his lips. “I’m Vortex,” he said cheerfully “and this is Arceus,” he explained, shoving a thumb to indicate the Kecleon “at your service, Miss…?” he asked meekly, his hand still held forward and patiently waiting for the girl to introduce herself.
A shadow of something seemed to cross her face but for all intents and purposes Vort ignored it, deciding that if it was something important she’d voice it but he didn’t have to wait long because she was more than willing to put her doubts to the public for all to see. "What are doing around here?" she asked, suspicion leaking into her voice which made the portal think she must be like those teenagers slash cranky old men who chased you with their shotgun out of their yard yelling “git outta me yard!” and waving the weapon at your back while you ran like a maniac arms flailing and yelling for mercy because you swear all you did was look at their pretty flowers or something equally stupid… maybe a girl scout selling cookies. The point was that he didn’t know nor have given her any reason to spit and hiss at him like a cat and he was more than slightly put off but he took it all with a smile –making sure the smile was a broad one.
“Well that’s easy miss we were…” he trailed off, realizing he had no idea exactly what Arceus and himself were doing in the peaks in the first place. As soon as the thought occurred to him he turned towards his lizard-friend and arched a brow, the Kecleon looked equally as perplexed by the question as he was and simply looked at his trainer with quizzical black eyes. This forced Vortex to think back to what they were doing –they simply walked in the general direction of the peaks, scaring the living crap out of some travelers then giggling like maniacs when they started getting yelled at then they were playing hide-and-seek but Kecleon successfully caught up with him then they had been playing catch (on the mountains) then they were playing… the opposite of catch… Dodge… yes, that’s right they were playing Dodge then they were playing catch again and made it here but as for the actual reason Vortex was at a loss and he doubted the girl would patiently listen to his tale of running amongst the rocks and stones.
“We were…” started Arcues, trailing off as he realized the futility of the explanation –not to mention that he doubted that this was what the girl was referring to. “Uhh…” stalled the Kecleon, shooting his trainer another questioning glance and completely unsure as to what they could possibly answer to that statement.
“We don’t know,
” they finally concluded, which was the truth –the pair had no idea what exactly they were doing in the peaks besides the obvious ‘just having some fun’ explanation and that would obviously be a major no-no and an answer frowned upon by most elders, especially when coming from a man who was supposedly already an adult.
