AND ALL THE DREAMS ------------------------------------ "Target is on the move."
"Take her down."
"Shit, she runs fast."
The street rat could move. She scattered quickly, coins spilling out from her bosom as she sprang from grabby hands. "Shit! Don't touch me!"
She slammed her elbow into the gut of some pitiful old guy who was trying to catch the thief. His reaction was immediate with a groan and dirty fingers tightening around his abdomen. Her hand moved for her pocket, throwing the red sphere into the sky with a breathless screech, "Lieu! Zen Headbutt!" The light materialized the buck mid-air and he came crashing to the ground behind her, the clatter of hooves on pavement was something awful to her ears. Lieu didn't waste any time, his antlers glowing as he plowed through the men trying to catch his trainer, throwing them over his head and onto the concrete. The reindeer snorted and galloped after his thief of a partner, hooves pounding against the solid surface, teeth grinding together as he tossed his head, offering her a ride. Her fingers curled tight around his antler and she stumbled, making futile attempts to mount him. "Shit..." The girl gasped, bending over and sucking in deep breaths. She was fit, but she wasn't superhuman. She was exhausted and there were plenty of angry people after the coins that she had stuffed into her bra. Her Stantler did his best to fight them off, but it just wasn't going to hold back a whole angry town. Hell, their economy revolved around that fucking gambler's heaven! "Aah, keep it up... alright? I'll get us help." By help, she meant she was going to pull out another teammate to rape the shit out of this crowd. But who the fuck could she use? She watched Lieutenant tear through the crowd, gouging and throwing people aside with his antlers, foam accumulating around his lips with the effort he was exerting to protect her. It was bittersweet. And utter bullshit. "Hypnosis, now!" She snapped her fingers and the bull came galloping, releasing sonar waves towards the crowd, who began screaming and fright and crying. One of Stantler's greatest abilities was to make people hallucinate. She swung one leg over her steed and then adjusted herself, tapping his hindquarters to get him tumbling down the path. Arceus, she had such a shitty team. None of them could actually help because they were puny physical fighters. Stantler was her saving grace because he was tall and he could pack a punch. Thank Arceus for Lieu. She slid off of him and into the grass, sighing. Her hand fished around in her shirt, pulling out fistfuls of coins out into her lap. She began counting them, only to notice the Stantler was standing there awkwardly. "Yeah? That was a one time thing. Go graze you fuckin' stupid cow." He didn't need to be told twice.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ LEAVE SUCH A BITTER TASTE ON MY TONGUE

“Guys, cool it,” Ruby chided lightly, his heart not really being in the scolding. After all he was well aware the two Pokémon were just fooling around but several angry disputes had started a similar way before and they had always ended in the smaller of the two under the other’s paw.
Even as he watched the bulky Absol let out a playful warning growl in the Jolteon’s direction, the smaller of which practically ignored it and instead gave a playful yip in reply before launching forward to tackle the Absol. One moment her pink paw-pads were rushing against the earth and the next she was flying through the air and launching herself full-speed ahead at the Absol. Eris, the Absol, not completely aware of what Sam, the Jolteon, intended stayed put simply looking up in mild confusion before realization dawned on her eyes just a second too late because the Jolteon had just landed on her side sending the pair tumbling over the grass. There was a mess of paws and then the shuffling sound of the two trying to disentangle themselves –he recognized the warning rumble that was Eris’ growl followed swiftly by the yip Sam usually offered as her only response. The sounds continued for a few moments before he caught sight of a white clawed paw followed by an equally white rear, there was a yip of pain then the Absol suddenly appeared over the grass looking disgruntled and around itself to find out what happened to its partner. Its worry was needless because no sooner had the Absol emerged from the long grass a yellow ball of fur leaped into its back and nipped playfully at the ruff of fur along the Absol’s neck.
This turned out to be the trigger to having the two rolling along the grass again and Ruby, smiling to himself, turned his gaze to look around the field of grass. In the distance he could see Mauvile City –he had been on his way towards there when he decided he could use a break and had seated himself on a smooth rock a little ways away from the main road. He had been followed all the day by Sam and Eris, Sam because she could always use a walk to drive away that pent-up energy she always had crackling around her like static and Eris because the Absol was always keen in warning her trainer when danger was around and truthfully she could use the walk. It was a bright and sunny day and the sky was a blue bowl with barely a cloud in the sky. Where they had stopped the grass grew long enough to hide Sam completely from sight even if she stood as straight as she could, whereas you could see the Absol’s head because of the difference in height. The trees started sprouting about ten yards from where he now sat first beginning in little shrubs then growing to full out trees the farther away from the road they were.
The rustling of grass told him that Eris had moved closer to him and thus he trained his attention on her. The Absol looked alert –it was the only way he could explain it. Her muscles were rigid and her crimson eyes were staring dead ahead as if expecting something to appear just at any moment. Ruby recognized that look and that was the look that normally was followed by something like a storm or something equally drastic, occasionally it meant that he was about to trip and fall but he didn’t allow himself much time to ponder that particular line of thought. He quickly stood up, his eyes still on the Absol. “What’s wrong?” he inquired gently, laying his hand on the white fur on Eris’ head but she barely blinked once he did. Sam had been nipping playfully at the Absol’s paws but upon noticing its stillness she too grew still herself and when Ruby looked down at her she seemed to have snapped into attention too so that meant they had heard something. Immediately Ruby turned his eyes towards what the pair was seeing and for a minute he wasn’t really sure what that was. There was a faint cloud of smoke and the distant figure of what he only could explain it as a Pokémon running full speed ahead. However soon enough they drew near enough that Ruby could identify the two as being a Stantler and a human, but all features were erased by the distance and Ruby was pleased with the arrangement but apparently Sam wasn’t.
For a reason that was beyond him something about the other trainer sent the Jolteon into a growling streak –her fur was sticking out on end and electricity shimmered around her like a fine veil. He was puzzled and too late he realized what the yellow fur-ball had in mind and as quick as she were you had to realize what she was up to before she had time to react. One second she was standing there with her fur crackling with electricity and the next she launched herself forward, quick as a wink covering the distance between the two trainers and intent in tackling the other trainer down. Of course it didn’t help that even though Ruby had a few seconds to call her back he didn’t and simply dragged his feet slowly forward as Sam pushed with all the strength on her back legs to detach herself from the ground and plummet towards the trainer.
Safe it to say that if she succeeded that was going to hurt.

I'LL STAIN THE STREETS ------------------------------------ All she could hear was his hooves clicking against the path as he moved towards a patch of grass to graze. The silence was terrible and she tried to focus on the clinking of coins and the chorus of birds in the trees around her. Everything fell so smoothly into place, she didn't know how to wrap her head around it. Her fingers curled around her upper arms in a solitary hug, her gray eyes falling on the coins nestled at her feet. It was awful and quiet and perfect. Her bangs fell into her eyes with her chin tilted downward. The corners of her mouth twitched as she tried to figure out the next step in her never ending cat and mouse game with authority. Actually, there wasn't much thought involved. Next town, next theft. It was a never ending cycle. She was slowly sinking into her own brain, but then she heard footsteps. It was the soft thudding that drew her from her philosophy and then there was a yip. Voices. Suddenly a stinging force pressed against her side, electricity crackling and racing across her skin. Her eyes widened in horror, lips parting in a mute scream of shock and terror as she was plowed over.
A Jolteon? Lieutenant lifted his head hastily when he heard the noise of scuffle in the grass. Cass kicked her limbs in the air, trying to get a grip on the grass to haul herself up. It took her less than a second to scramble to her feet, adjusting herself and running her fingers through static-laced hair. Her stone cold eyes fixed on the fox and her leg pulled back, one foot aimed straight for the puppy's side. "BASTARD!"
She paused, grinning wolfishly down at the electric type, "You'd be a nice fur coat, wouldn't you?" She fumbled around until she found an empty pokeball, laughing breezily as she cooed in a throaty tone, "Just hop inside this and everything will go nice and dand-" There was a boy. There was an Absol. She turned her head slowly, her peripheral vision had not been mistaken. Her cold eyes narrowed and her grin grew wickedly, she dropped the ball at her toes, "I-Is... this little shit yours?" The girl asked through her teeth, still grinning like a wolf. The creepily cheerful mask fell through and she swung a white-knuckled fist at the boy, screeching at the top of her lungs. "LEARN TO CONTROL YOUR FUCKING RAT, YOU SHIT-FACED LITTLE BRAT! I SHOULD HAVE LIEU GOUGE YOU TO DEATH FOR THAT LITTLE SLIP UP! FUCKING IDIOT!" The Stantler, who had come up behind Cass, snorted in agreement.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ THEY'LL RUN WITH BLOOD

In all truth Ruby was a bit beside himself with shock. He had registered the Jolteon’s obvious intentions at doing something but Sam had never been the type to act with rash aggression, sure she tended to occasionally tackle the random bystander playfully but always she had made sure to give such person a warning of some kind –she’d pause and yip before them perhaps or maybe she bark from far ahead to give the person enough time to hold up their arms in the famous ‘no’ gesture and that was enough to stop her on her tracks and simply make her look curiously up. Beady black eyes only full of a sort of mischievous playfulness. Occasionally she got carried away but most often than not she tried giving a warning. However, Ruby never thought Sam would actually react the way she did. Her pads slapped against the ground in quick succession, her eyes narrowed and electricity crackled in her fur but even then he never really thought Sam would do what she did next. She leaped to her feet and slammed her body against the gal’s side and he saw the crackle of electricity that flashed through the Pokémon’s fur and in turn the other trainer, he was sure the voltage was low enough not to cause anything more than stinging but he couldn’t help but wonder how seriously she had been hurt by the type of tackle.
She smashed against the ground and the Jolteon quickly scrambled upright for a paw hold, a vicious snarl erupting from its gritted teeth and the static making its fur stand on end. The trainer scrambled to a stand and whipped her head around to meet Sam’s black narrowed eyes. There was pure rage on her face and she didn’t doubt her next move but Sam saw what was coming too late it leaped out of the way, or attempted to just as the woman’s foot met with her hind leg and a startled yip escaped its throat. However, Ruby couldn’t help breathe a mental sigh of relief –the situation had taken less than a second but he had clearly registered that if Sam hadn’t moved at all the trainer would’ve kicked her ribs and there’s no telling what force she could put behind that kick. For all he knew the kick would’ve been enough to break the Jolteon’s ribs and at the same time they could pierce into her lungs and surely kill her, as it was she would know at best have a bruised leg and maybe limp for a bit until the sting wore away. That was much better than broken ribs. "BASTARD!" she howled and Sam joined in snarling just as viciously, Ruby had the creeping suspicion that Sam had just called the trainer a bitch, but since both of them were yelling there was no telling, for all he knew the Jolteon could’ve just snarled ‘I love you’ and he wouldn’t have caught it. "You'd be a nice fur coat, wouldn't you?" and to his horror he saw the trainer drawing out a Pokeball, Sam saw it too because for a minute it seemed her furious resolution falter but then the anger lighted her eyes and she gave a rumbling growl in response, electricity crackled her fur and leaped and bounced on the grass like fireflies. "Just hop inside this and everything will go nice and dand-"
She paused, Sam never took her eyes off the trainer and then slowly as if she couldn’t quite believe what she was seeing she turned to face Ruby and Eris. The Absol was outright glaring at the trainer, its fur bristled and its muscled were tight and ready to leap to action if only the slightest thing shall go array. Ruby, his position almost relaxed, could only be told of how displeased he was with the situation by a frown that creased his brows and the grim set of his mouth, silently and in his own way he was drinking in every detail already having ten possible plans of how to respond if things took a turn for the worse. "I-Is... this little shit yours?" she said, dropping the Pokeball and the sharp Jolteon wasted no second in rushing to the thing and launching it aside by pushing it with her forepaws –Ruby didn’t notice the action in itself but it was there. His eyes were fixed on the trainer. There was only a second of silence were neither made a sound and then suddenly she was drawing her arm back-
“PSYCHO CUT!”
Ruby wasted no effort, no time to think the action through –he had already thought through of what he would do if the trainer turned aggressive so from the start the command was hanging at the tip of his tongue just waiting for the right time to leap from his throat. He didn’t even hear what the trainer was yelling at him –he didn’t even register her mouth moving he only caught how her arm tensed back and yelled. Eris didn’t tally in questioning or pausing to consider her trainer’s command –she saw the woman draw her arm back in what would be sure signs of aggression and the unfair bit hadn’t registered either –a human surely couldn’t battle fairly against a Pokemon but there was no time to think. The chipped horn on the side of the Absol’s head glimmered blue and with no hesitation the Absol through its head back “Sol!”. A shiny blue circle flew in the woman’s direction and the way the pair saw it there was no other possible result…
This definitely isn’t Love Ruby Day, the male trainer could only think.

I'LL STAIN THE STREETS ------------------------------------ The little bastard thought he could mess with Cass? Wrong! She ignored his snarling for the most part when his trainer and Absol darted over, but was slowly becoming more and more pissed off as the moments chipped away at her sanity. She'd kick that dog in the skull if she heard one more growl-. Apparently the world was against her today because the boy said two words to her in response. Psycho Cut. The Absol didn't hesitate or any shit for the girl, who took a few steps back. Lieu was about valiantly step and take the blow for his trainer, but she recalled him as the Absol drew back his head. She didn't need the stupid cow troubling her when she got injured "Fuckin' bastards."
She mumbled, watching the Psycho Cut whizz off the chipped headgear, wooshing through the grass towards her. "SEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"A powerful jet of water flew past her ear, slamming into the blade. The column didn't falter at all during this, even as the Horsea fell like a rock into Cass's arms. "Horsea.." She looked down at her starter and gently touched his tattered fin gratefully. The two attacks ended in a small explosion, a brown cloud of smoke and dust filling her vision. Part of the Psycho Cut whizzed by and nicked her arm. "SON OF A BITCH!" It was searing, hot pain in her arm where a new gash resided. She almost dropped her Horsea in the process. "WATER GUN, BLAST 'EM TO HELL!" She tossed her Horsea forth, the valiant seadragon flew through the air and paused, seawater sloshing around in his cheeks. He gathered the water in the back of his throat, the water pressure was building up and a bit of it trickled from his funnel mouth. In one calculated movement, he released a high pressure jet of water at the trio. He didn't have the Sniper ability for nothing. Meanwhile, his trainer stood there, putting a finger to her open wound. "I HOPE YOU ALL FUCKIN' DIE SLOWLY." "SEEEEAAA!"[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ THEY'LL RUN WITH BLOOD

She reacted fast, in half a second she had recalled back the Stantler and had chosen another Pokémon. Which one Ruby didn’t see but he hardly cared. He watched the blue circle make its way towards the pair and then he heard the sharp cry of the Pokémon he still couldn’t see. A small explosion erupted from the contact of two attacks –water, he noticed. The only thing he could do was hear two bodies slamming together followed by a sharp shriek of the trainer’s –whatever she said he didn’t listen to or care to listen but from the sound of it the attack had hit. Thank Arecus for Super Luck, he could only think quickly shifting his glance to check that his two Pokémon were still standing. Sam limped quickly towards the pair but Ruby held up a hand to tell her back and the Jolteon paused in her limping, her black eyes narrowed and Ruby shook his head, she nodded and turned around awkwardly to face the trainer and her Pokémon. Sam was only a few yards before Eris and Ruby, but she was closer to her own trainer than the opponent. He was only glad Sam at least obeyed hand gestures. Both of the canine-like Pokémon’s hair was ruffled and they both stood tense and ready for attack. It struck Ruby that this was one odd battle but he pushed the thought aside to think about later, if he let his mind wander he would miss something critical.
And sure enough when he focused his complete attention to the trainer and her Pokémon –after taking careful inventory of the condition of Sam and Eris and thinking about what attack combination would do well. He noticed there was a line of blood on her arm and he couldn’t help but smirk in response, Eris had nice aim thanks to her ability but still he couldn’t help but sometimes doubt its accuracy, clearly the Absol was due much more credit than that. She was yelling again, he noted and it took her a fraction of a second to register her command "WATER GUN, BLAST 'EM TO HELL!" she yelled. Sam’s fur crackled with electricity and a low growl leapt from Eris’ throat. The Horsea –he saw the Pokémon now– was launched into the air and with furious accuracy it let forth a blast of water that Ruby was sure would hurt terribly. He had no time to consider what he would do which was fine by him –he had already formed a kind of plan more or less and the fact that she had a water Pokémon with her would only benefit him.
“PSYCHO CUT!” he barked again.
Like before the Absol’s horn gleamed blue, her muscles rippled and she threw her head back “Sol!”. A blue circle leaped from the horn and made its way directly for the Water Gun attack (he thanked Super Luck yet again) and for half a second it looked like it was about to split the jet of water clean in two, instead an explosion erupted from the attack, which was what Ruby wanted. The force of the explosion made water splash everywhere and faster than you could yell Hoppip he was already thoroughly soaked. Eris hastily shook her coat free of the worse of the water, but something leaped in the Lightning Pokémon’s eyes realizing just then what her trainer had in mind. If ever a dog could grin it was only then because a wicked smile lit the Jolteon’s feature and she gave and rumbling growl in response –he could only hope the trainer and her Horsea were as soaked through as he was.
“Sam!” he called, the Jolteon’s fur crackled with electricity “THUNDER!”
The fennec fox threw her head back in a wordless howl as electricity leaped from her coat –the chances of the attack missing slim thanks to the makeshift rain and a bolt of lightning leaping from the Pokemon’s fur and making a sure way towards the pair. For a minute Ruby wondered how it all had started in the first place.

I'LL STAIN THE STREETS ------------------------------------ "SEEEEAAA! HORSEAAA!"
The seahorse bellowed through the torrent of water that he was trying to hit the boy and his dogs with. Cass wiped at the blood on her arm with her other hand, snarling ferally right back at the Absol, cold eyes slitted and shark-like. Her lip curled back to reveal the upper set of her particularly white set of teeth. "SO YOU WANNA FIGHT, EH? I'LL MAKE YOU RUN HOME TO YOUR MAMA WITH YOUR TAIL BETWEEN YOUR LEGS!" He might have a plan, but she had one to counter it. It was how she played the game, huh? Another Psycho Cut was issued, but this time, it was used to deflect the Sniper-powered Water Gun. "Keep up your Water Gun, Captain... just a little more." Like two bucks fighting over a harem, the Psycho Cut and Water Gun knocked their skulls together and pushed at eachother until it exploded, a gust of air tugging at her clothes and a torrent of water falling onto her. Her fingers curled into her palms as she took in a deep breath, feeling the sting as water rolled over her fresh wound, turning a pinkish color as it went on through. Horsea fell slowly into her arms again, eyes narrowed at the trio. The Jolteon a few yards away had such an evil look on its face, features lighting up as an idea came to mind. The boy said the Jolteon's name and Cass fumbled for a certain Pokémon. Thunder. She tossed the pokeball into the line of fire, screwing her eyes shut with a roar, "WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR? AN IDIOT?!" Was this kid trying to kill her? The large bolt of lightning lit up infront of her eyes as the Jolteon released it. At the same time, her round-eyed Trapinch appeared. The Thunder hit the Ground-type and for a moment, General was alight with electricity before to died out, snapping across her body before disappearing. The creature stared in confusion, obviously having not gotten the memo. "So... thats how you wanna play? Bastard. We can play that game if you wish." She batted her eyelashes innocently before thrusting her pointer finger in his direction. "General, use Sand Tomb." This was insane! Someone was going to get really hurt! She loved it. Every second of this exhilarating death match. Her Trapinch disappeared under the ground and then the soil began to quiver and sink under their feet. Cass danced away from where Ruby and his dogs were, or had been, she didn't really know and really didn't care. She hoped they had fallen into the hole. "Captain, use our special improvised escape move, will you? I'm sure the boy would love to see you in action." The Horsea nodded and released a Sniper-precise Water Gun and Smokescreen combination. How the hell did that work? Well, it was normally a last resort escape move. Blind them, knock them down, simple stuff. Make them too busy choking and gasping on the ground to pursue her. This... wasn't to escape. Though she wanted similar effects. In one pressurized shot, the jet of black water was aimed for the trio, whisps of curling, dark smoke twisting around the column, but most of it fled into the air directly from the Horsea's mouth. "SEA! SEA!"[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ THEY'LL RUN WITH BLOOD

The water was cold, Ruby realized in a detached sort of way –his eyes more intent on his opponent than his physical condition. As the thought registered he shook himself in a similar way Eris had done before him –his hair clung to his scalp and rivulets of the liquid trailed down his face. Obviously his side of the field got the most soaked since the attack was originally meant for him who would easily turn to be against him and only a portion of it had lashed back –it was enough to soak his opponent as well but at least she wasn’t dripping with so much water as he was. The thought caused a reflex reaction on him and keeping his eyes trained on the female trainer he squeezed his shirt so it would release some of the water that clung to the fabric. Sam shook herself and electricity fizzled on the edges of her fur while Eris kept her eyes trained at the Horsea as if it could suddenly spring wings and rush towards them. A low rumble of a growl shook her chest but otherwise she kept passive waiting for her own trainer’s next command.
Ruby hadn’t counted, however, that the other trainer had a ground-type ready to call forth but that’s exactly what she did. Even someone who prepared himself as well as Ruby couldn’t have predicted her next action as she drew out a Pokeball and called forth a stubby Trapinch. If it had been wet the result might have been slightly more different, but it was dry, just came out of the damn Pokeball so as it landed on the ground before it with a heavy thud and took the full force of the electric attack Ruby couldn’t help but grit his teeth. Now he just needed to get the damn thing away from its trainer so Sam could have the field open for attack –he just had to think of how he could make that possible. Sam snarled and Eris’ ruffled her fur, her legs bent so she would be able to leap out of the way on a moment’s notice, still standing loyally besides her trainer. His thoughts raced as he saw he talk –saw her, not heard her and he thought of a million ways he could split up the trainer and the Trapinch, what he expected would happen was that she would keep the ground type close by since she must surely know that as soon as it stepped away from her Sam would have a wide open field to crush the two under another Thunder attack.
"General, use Sand Tomb."
Quite suddenly and unexpectedly pain blossomed on Ruby’s side. As soon as the command was made Eris knew who it would be aimed for –the three Pokémon and she also knew Ruby was too close for comfort and if that Trapinch got its jaws on him there would be more than running blood. So she did what any strong, heavy and smart Pokémon would do –she tackled her trainer out of the way and if Ruby knew what the Absol was thinking he would’ve probably have been grateful. As it was he flew for a few seconds through the air and landed on the ground, sliding thanks to the water-covered grass an additional yard or two from the place he fell. Stars danced across his vision but he knew better than to stay still or let the pain flood his thoughts and whipped around wildly searching for Eris. Sam –he noticed, was nowhere in sight but shrugged it off and concentrated at the problem at hand. Just as the ground began to weaken under the Absol’s paws Ruby drew out his Pokeball and called her back, a wicked grin lighted his features as he realized how smart the Absol had been –and the idea that just flashed through his mind. As soon as the Absol retreated back to her Pokeball he launched the device again –this time the Absol stood well away from the trap the ground-type had created.
“Psycho Cut!”
A wicked smile lit her features as she realized what her trainer had done and at the same time her chipped horn gleamed bright blue. In the same move she had already used twice in the same day and many times before she threw her head back and launched a blue circle at the Trapinch still within the circle of sand. Ruby wasted no time to wonder what the result would be –he whipped around to notice that Sam was just a far closer to the trainer and her Horsea than he remembered and a wicked grin lit his features. With the Trapinch away she was wide open for an electric attack. “I would throw that fish down if I were you!” he called and in the same breath, without pause or care he yelled “THUNDER!” just as smoke erased his vision to the seen, but he knew Sam had the two in sight and she would not miss only the trainer learned how to fly or had another ground type to call –which he doubted.
A wild snarl ripped from the Jolteon’s mouth and there was a flash of light within the smoke to indicate that she had let her attack forth. Besides him Eris let out an appreciative grunt and he knew what she was thinking –they could see shit in this smoke.

I'LL STAIN THE STREETS ------------------------------------ Of course that bastard's fucking Absol would tackle him out of the disaster area. The ground sunk under the Absol, but the Absol did not fall into General's snapping jaws. Why? She craned her neck to see Ruby laying on the ground, a pokeball lifted to recall the Disaster Pokemon. She gritted her teeth in frustration, holding tighter to her Horsea, the ground soggy and wet under her feet. The ball was thrown again, this time the Absol was standing on solid ground well away from the Trapinch's Sand Tomb. Anger made her blood boil and her heart pounded from the adrenaline rush she was receiving from this fight. Her cold, gray eyes moved between Ruby and his Pokemon, occasionally moving to the recess in the ground and to the back of her seahorse's head, but that was rarely. What would Ruby pull now? He had her trapped like a cornered mouse until her Trapinch emerged from the Sand Tomb attack.
"Psycho Cut!"
Maybe her Trapinch wouldn't reappear. The boy was Psycho Cut happy, using it every second he could in this fucking fight. She squeezed her Water-type in her arms and shut her eyes as the blue orb flew into the crater. "Fucking bastards..."
There was the sound of an explosion, but she didn't dare open her eyes. She didn't want to see what happened. She hated losing. Hated it. And here she was, about to fucking die. She sucked in a deep breath and struggled to let it out in one shaky exhale. Her eyes flew open. "I would throw the fish if I were you! Thunder!" Again with the trying to kill her? She held her seahorse closer to her chest, eyes narrowed as electricity danced across the Jolteon's pelt. "OVER MY DEAD BODY!" Ruby was grinning wickedly but she had no time to care or cry or even breath. It was over. Captain struggled as the Jolteon charged up the Thunder. She shut her eyes and mumbled, "We're fucked, we're fucked..." The Horsea twisted as a huge bolt of lightning flew from the fox. Wrenched free, the Horsea used momentum to throw his body forward into the light. "SEAAA..." The girl stumbled out of the damp grass, shielding her eyes from the light as her little seahorse took the full effect of Thunder. Explosion. This fight was full of explosions. Light gray smoke lifted, rising off a much larger Pokemon; a Pokemon who had not thrown himself in. Hell, Cass would have thought the Pokemon was Ruby's if she didn't see his tattered fins. "DRAAAAAAA!" He kicked up a powerful attack of his own, twisting around and dragging great amounts of air into a cyclone. The wind pulled and tugged at Cass's wet clothes, but all she could do was stand there in shock and awe. Everything was near silent except for the low droning the tornado made. The clouds overhead darkened angrily. Almost as pissed off as Captain. Almost. Meanwhile, flying low behind Ruby, Trapinch owned a new guise. A Vibrava. Ruby was officially up against a Sea Dragon and an Earth Dragon. Well, almost. "Vi! Vi!" The Vibrava cooed, lips parting to reveal long fangs. "VIBRAVA!" The Ground Dragon flew towards the trainer, making a valiant attempt to sink her teeth into the boy's shoulder. With that, Seadra released his Twister. All hell has broken loose as of now. "Holy... shit." The girl mumbled, dumbfounded and trying not to be pulled into the air by the Twister.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ THEY'LL RUN WITH BLOOD

Ruby was starting to feel the sting of Eris’ tackle, but he didn’t blame the Absol although a part of him wished she hadn’t used such excessive force to launch him out of the Arena Trap’s perimeter. His side prickled with pain and his eyes whipped around violently trying to keep the two of his opponents Pokémon in sight, Eris’ eyes remained trained on the area where she suspected the Trapinch to be, scanning the area with the precision of a predator whereas Sam kept her eyes trained on the trainer and her water-type, the occasional rumble of a growl alerting him that she was still there despite the fast-fading visibility. Besides him the Absol gave an uneasy growl and he knew she still hadn’t obtained sight of her own opponent, her job, she knew, was to give Sam enough space so the ground-type wouldn’t affect her chances and if she couldn’t keep her opponent in sight to keep him distracted it boded ill for her the Jolteon’s chances, she didn’t even have a type advantage against the little shit but nevertheless she knew damn well that she could deal with the thing –for it didn’t have type advantages against her either.
The dark smoke flashed with the light emitted by Sam’s electrical discharge and Ruby’s head snapped in that direction, willing the smoke to thin and the Lightning Pokémon to reveal herself. Nothing happened for a few seconds and then very suddenly the smoke started clearing. It cleared away so fast that Ruby found himself blinking against the sudden glare of light but it didn’t affect his perception of the scene. A Seadra now stood in the place previously occupied by the Horsea and it was sucking in the air around it like a vacuum. Sam gave a yip of alarm, her claws struggling to find a safe hold so she would not be sucked in by the sheer force behind the Seadra’s attempt. Sparks of electricity danced across her coat and leap to the ground bouncing ones or twice before disappearing from sight, her fur billowed around her and her teeth were gritted, eyes narrowed against the force being exerted against her.
A sound alerted him to his current situation and a rumbling snarl leap from Eris’ throat. He wasn’t quite sure what he was seeing and only knew something was rushing towards him and for minute possible commands escaped him. He didn’t need to worry however because Eris knew well what she would do. One minute the Vibrava was rushing with its fangs gleaming towards Ruby and the next it smacked with a deafening thud against an invisible wall. Detect, he thought, mentally thanking Eris for her quick thinking. However, if was now time for some quick thinking of his own and mostly he would depend on Eris’ special ability to make sure his attempts would not end in failure. “Psycho Cut!” he barked and as soon as he did the shield the Absol had created faltered and her horn gleamed blue, she moved as she had times before throwing her head back and launching a blue circle towards the Vibrava –the proximity probably making it next to impossible for her to miss and Ruby hoped it would take care of the thing for a few seconds at least.
Back with Sam the situation just took a turn for the worst. One moment the Jolteon’s paws were digging into the moist earth for some kind of support and the next the wind current drastically changed and slammed against her. Her paws no longer found ground underneath her as she was thrown back and she slammed hard against the ground only to be picked up by the sheer force of the winds. She regained her motive however and before she could be caught by surprise and slammed against the ground again she dug her claws into the earth and gave a yowl of defiance. Her hind leg were the girl kicked her still throbbed –even more now that she had slammed exactly on the same side again but she saw an opening and a wicked smile lit her features. It would turn out that the Seadra’s best asset would turn to be its doom. The Sniper ability had ensured that it had a direct hit but it also ensured that right now as the Jolteon looked she could see what could be referred to as the eye of the storm and her opening for an attack. Not waiting for the command of her trainer she charged her next attack summoning the energy around her so she could make this attack a doozy. A wild yowl ripped from her maw and a lightning bolt from her fur, just as she predicted it moved right through the eye with only one possible target. That Seadra was fish sticks now.

TELL THE SWINE ------------------------------------ The cyclone could have ripped her from where she was rooted, so she sank to her knees, fingers curling and knotting in the dead grass, her eyes screwed shut as rain splattered the ground beside her and debris whooshed past her head as the Twister tore up everything in its path. The ground was chewed where the wind storm had laid waste and Captain was hustling towards Cassandra, bouncing along with the permanent angry look he bore-- that every Seadra bore. His cruel features scowled down at the frightened creature that normally bore a cold exterior. Now she was too afraid to rise and meet her evolved starter. Her gray eyes lifted towards the blue form who chuffed in delight as wind whipped by and stole the sound into the sky. The sea dragon stared down at his trainer before turning and hobbling off. She was left with a hollow feeling in her chest, but managed to haul herself onto two jello-like legs. Trembling from the cold as rain pelted her bare skin, she glared at Ruby from across their makeshift arena.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the Jolteon struggling to not get sucked up into the tornado. It was chewing up the earth, pausing before the electric-type with its low droning, as if it was waiting for the proper opportunity. There was clear distress in the fox's face as it clung to the earth, Sparks flew from the dog but then its claws loosened. No where to go but into the storm itself, the dog was ambushed by the natural disaster, sending the poor, but not so innocent, beast flying. Flying... backwards? It seemed to defy the storm but as the spiked, vile animal struck the earth, she was hauled back into the atmosphere, sucked straight into the storm. She was thrown into the ground, crushed under the pressure of the storm. Cass lost sight of the ugly beast in the gray clouds that curled around the funnel of gales. Captain didn't call his storm off, but waited patiently for the Jolteon's reappearance.
Meanwhile, the Vibrava was so happy to make her master proud! Her teeth glittered dangerously as she shot forward to give that other trainer a nasty bite. Then her face smashed against a shield and she fluttered backwards in alarm. The stupid white one had put up a barrier to keep her back! Pah! “Psycho Cut!” She shut her eyes as the teal orb slammed into her body and guided her into the ground. Her body twisted into the ground, digging and chugging along through a makeshift tunnel underground. Arceus, that hurt! Her slender limbs pushed her forward, wings pressed snug against her antlion body as she traveled under a loud rumbling-- her teammate's twister.
"YOU'RE INSANE! ABSOLUTELY AND UNDENIABLY MAD!"
Cass jeered to the boy across the field, her stone colored eyes narrowed coldly and fearlessly as she stood several yards behind her Seadra. A stolen howl whizzed past her ear. "Captain," She mumbled quietly, her voice taken by the wind, "Dragon Pulse!" The lightning bolt erupted from inside the twister, dancing through the air with sparks exploding from its curling body, headed straight for the water-type. Wordlessly, the Seadra wasted no time conjuring a teal ball in front of its mouth and firing it like a canon at the bolt of electricity as it danced across the stage. The dark stormclouds that rumbled angrily overhead could hide the sun's light, but the combined force of the growing Dragon Pulse as it absorbed the Thunder was bright as hell. It grew and grew some more. Then, it exploded. The proximity was too close in comparison to such a large blast and it sent Captain flying backwards. The ground rumbled under Cass's feet and caused her to fall backwards onto her ass as well. It seemed the only one unaffected on her side was Vibrava, who had yet to make a reappearance. "What a shitty idea," The girl moaned, rubbing the back of her head with an irritable growl, her Seadra just a few feet away and slowly gathering himself back into an upright position. "Sea. Seadra." The seadragon groaned, shaking his head slowly. "You can say that six times." ooc; complete hax.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------------------ WE WILL MAKE IT OUT ALIVE

When your opponents Pokémon tried to kill you it was when you knew you had to take the battle seriously, but for a reason beyond him Ruby couldn’t make himself quite view this as a true challenge but although he was sure Eris was having a blast standing by his side and ruining the Vibrava’s plans Sam’s situation was a whole different matter. She seemed to take whatever this trainer was doing to heart and she was absolutely furious and all Ruby could do was grit his teeth and bare it, but at least she was stubborn enough to pick herself back up again and again. As the blue circle whizzed by and slammed against the Vibrava instead of what he expected would be a satisfied grumble from Eris’ part there was a grunt of alarm. Hastily, Ruby detached his eyes from Sam and her struggles with the twister and whipped around to see whatever the Absol was looking at and what he saw was enough to make his hand twitch towards one of his other Pokémon still stored safely inside their Pokeballs. As soon as the Vibrava came in contact with the ground in straightened itself in an awkward flip then started chugging the ground rapidly, he would’ve gladly wasted another Psycho Cut right there and then but he resisted and held back, Eris seemed to think the same too because she whipped her head around and looked at the ground surrounding the two for any sign of the ground and dragon-type descending.
Another snarl made his eyes concentrate on Sam, she was obviously not favoring her bad leg but she still stood and by the way the fur bristled on her back he knew she was still very ready to fight back. The Thunder attack had been reflected by a teal orb whose name he couldn’t quite catch but he recognized the attack immediately, this obviously added to the Jolteon’s chagrin, the battlefield was wet for Arceus’ sake and it was absolutely pelting with rain what should’ve happened was that the Seadra would fall dead like the stupid fish it was, but instead it still stood and the thought was enough to drive another snarl from Sam’s lips. Obviously she was in a testy mood, but Ruby couldn’t have any of that. She was furious, yes, but that would not help her in battle, if anything it would just make her more reckless and with that thought his mind seemed to made itself up. Quickly, before the demented bug could strike he drew two Pokeballs, with one he called Sam back, the Lightning Pokémon growled but she didn’t disobey him to his relief –she must have known that if she was being retreated it was because Ruby had something else in mind. In the same movement he called back the Jolteon he made sure another came out into the battlefield.
“Damen,” he said smoothly as red light burst from the device giving place to a grown Salamence –he only caught a glimpse of its smooth back and red wings before he was already leaping into its back and before he even touched the Pokemon he was already barking a command “Earthquake!” Eris leaped hastily into her ally’s back and Ruby barely had time to clutch the dragon’s neck before it reared back and brought its front legs down hard on the earth, immediately the energy behind it sent the earth shaking in all directions and Ruby was only grateful to have leaped into the dragon’s back. But his job was not done, carefully he turned around reached for the Absol. “Future Sight,” he whispered and a wicked grin lit the Disaster Pokémon’s features before her eyes shimmered blue, now it was just a matter of time to see if Damen could work his magic and if not he had the little Future Sight as a kind of back-up plan.
Oh yes and of course the stupid fly had to surface now of risk getting stuck below ground for more than it originally intended.
