[/color] Dingy streets twist and spread beneath hazy, midmorning fog. Tough looking Soldiers paced the streets, many with pokemon at their sides like guard dogs. Most were simply passing through, a pause on their journey's, a day or two to relax. Among them, a girl strode, purposeful yet slow for observation. Odd looks were thrown her way often - after all, she was one of the Throne's. A smile played on Mind's lips as she walked, despite her disgusting surroundings. Personally, she was not a fan of the physical vileness of the city, but the darkness in the hearts of its inhabitants was delicious enough to tempt her in. Strong Soldiers migrated here, and that was exactly what she was looking for. Frankly, she was quite sick of how soft her beautiful homeland was going. The other Thrones were useless; one was even human! How could a human rule in a land that hated Earth? The girl didn't even want the position and neither did the other Throne. Mind allowed a sigh to escape her lips, an impossibly adorable pained expression crossing her face. She wondered how her region had become like this, with reluctant weaklings in power. I mean really... she thought, raising her ruby red eyes once again to the crowds around her. But it was quite alright. She didn't need Soul or Heart's help to crush Earth. But her army needed more Soldiers. Another sigh escaped her. Mind was already bored with looking at the thugs around her. Can't they at the very least wash once in a while? she mentally sniffed as an odorous man passed her with a Geodude trailing behind. However, her slight smile remained in place with practiced ease. She caught a couple of young trainers watching her - obviously new and trying to look tough for the Throne - and she cutely winked at them. One of them quickly straightened, thrusting out his chest and calling to his friend and his pokemon to get to training; the other stared after her dumbfounded. The reaction was so routine, Mind couldn't even raise a giggle. Mind was just about to retire to her hotel room out of sheer boredom when a wall appeared before her. Annoyance sparked when she had to crane her head up to see the man's face. "You're Mind? The zien Throne?" he grunted. Another zien. Mind smiled, looking for all the world like an innocent child. The man took a slight step back, appearing somewhat befuddled. "Yes, I am. Can I help you?" Lips parted, but it took a minute for words to form. Already, a few passers by had taken notice of what was happening and were stopping to watch. The man blocking Mind's way appeared to shake himself mentally, as if throwing off thoughts. "Yeah. I'd like a battle." He really had shaken off thoughts. "Well, I suppose I could spare some time. I do enjoy a good battle," Mind said; even her voice sounded young and sweet-girl-ish. "Be sure to entertain me, would you?" she giggled, her innocent face concealing the belittlement. The man grunted in reply and they both walked backwards, the crowd moving around them to form a half-hazard ring. "Why don't you start us off, Mr...?" Asking for names made people feel important; and the higher someone is, the farther they have to fall. Mind licked her lips, perhaps to keep them from getting dry, or perhaps in anticipation. "Bryan," the guy called with a smug look. He pulled a red and white ball from his vest and threw it into the temporary battlefield. "Go, Pinsir!" Thrashing red light blasted from the open pokeball and onto the field, twisting in and around itself until it took shape. The bug pokemon snapped its pincers at Mind who was taking out her own pokeball. She toyed with it more a moment, seeming to contemplate before tossing it towards the sky; "Come on out Bellossom." Petals twirled around the red light as it took the form on the grass type pokemon, raining down over Bellossom's dance. Mind gave Bryan credit for keeping the contempt to his eyes, but it irked her all the same; people still didn't understand that pokemon could be beautiful as well as powerful. "Why don't you start us off, Bryan?" she called. "With pleasure," he smirked. "Pinsir, Vicegrip!" The pokemon charged forward, horns poised. But Bellossom barely moved even as they clamped around it's tiny body. Bryan laughed but it faded as he noticed Mind was still smiling. "H-hey, why are you..." "Oh, didn't you notice?" Mind sounded almost genuinely surprised, but she didn't really bother faking too much. "Bellossom is small enough to slip right through your Pinsir's horns. Isn't that right, Bellossom?" At these words, Bellossom popped out from the space between the base of Pinsir's horns, landing lightly on the back of it's head. "Petal Dance, Bellossom." The flowery pokemon bounced into the air, twirling like a ballerina and scattering petals over the field, Pinsir, and everyone standing around. "Tsk! Well, Pinsir has his own moves to show! Use Swords Dance!" Bryan yelled. It was an odd combination, the brown and green pokemon moving around like courting insects, dancing gracefully. Pinsir skittered on the ground, its power raising even as its mind became entranced by the swirling skirt and floating petals of its enemy. Bellossom finished her dance first, wearing a smug look that easily rivaled the one her trainer was holding back. Mind hesitated for a moment, allowing her opponent to finish and get in one more attack. "Bellossom, Solar Beam." "Submission!" Pinsir charged upon his trainer's order, racing against the light growing above Bellossom's head. Bellossom won, "Solar Beam!" The light shot out from Bellossom, only traveling a few feet before it slammed into the Pinsir, knocking it flying through the air to its trainer's feet. He was out cold; Bryan stared down at his pokemon in disbelief. Mind gave her opponent a cute smile, fluttering her fingers in a wave. "Better luck next time," she tittered before spinning, scanning the crowd, pretending to catch their eyes until she was facing Bryan again. "We need more strong Soldiers," she said, raising her voice for the crowd. "It is time that Earth was destroyed, and I seek your help to crush it." There were no lengthy speeches needed for this crowd, already riled with the infectious energy of battle. She paused to let them cheer, roaring into the sky, the streets, each other's faces. "A tournament will strengthen our ranks, both in number and in power. In ten days, the tournament will begin in Karnavia City. I hope to see you all there! <3" Mind sounded more like an announcer girl than the one in charge, but it did the trick. Mind called back her Bellossom and walked away from the cheering crowd satisfied. She was about to retire to her hotel room to congratulate herself, when something caught her attention. A slow smile crept onto the zien's face, sinister before it was wiped away and replaced instantaneously with a pleasant beam. A quick glance showed that his charge was nowhere around. A pity, it would have been fun to find them both. But one would suffice; Mind stepped forward until she was right behind him and could breathe into his ear. "Hello, Samuel."

It felt strange to exist within his roots. Here, in Valiant town, a couple of decades ago, he learned what he knew now. Right now, things were quiet, but nothing ever stayed the same in Valiant Town. Samuel desired to see every speck of his past home, but that was no wise. People would notice him, especially the old Replicas. So he wandered around the streets, nodding at some while twisting his head from others.
Then a tap on his shoulder stopped him from straying. "You're Samuel, the Raikou?" a voice inquired. The Guard winced and pull his dusty coat tighter over his body. "You're mistaken," he answered and walked away. "No, you're Samuel Thunder Jolt. You're a legend on his block. One of the fighters ever to breath in Valiant, right?" the man pressed. Sam's head turned toward the man. A Hitmonchan Replica. The muscular red fists and determined expression were a give away. Replicas here loved to practice fighting since the Ziens battled all the time. Samuel stood tall at the memory, causing his hood to fall. "That's me, but I don't brawl anymore." "C'mon. Fight me. Please." "No." He shrugged his shoulder to loosen the man's grip. So that's it. Go guard some human and become a pacifist. Girl like that doesn't belong on the Throne."
Samuel's fists clenched. 'Don't do it. No reason to fight,' he told himself. The Replica's temper wasn't out of control, but there were some time when he felt his brash personality explode. Guarding Soul had made the feeling dormant, but an insult to her was almost too much. In fact... He paused and rubbed his fingers together, sparks jumping from one finger to the other. "Dammit," he said. His emotions had charged his body and he needed to release it. With a quick glance, he threw a punch. The Hitomchan smelt the tension, felt the sparks, so he was ready. His head weaved to the right, but he face winced. Obviously, the sparks caressed and stung the Replica's face. Instantly, Samuel put the stranger on the defensive. Stopping for a second would create an opening. It had been a while since he done this, fighting for silly reasons and he hated himself for engaging in worthless combat, but now was not the time for regrets.
Following the sounds of grunts and growls, a small crowd started to pick up. Most of them Replicas. They shouted names, but the Raikou Replica pushed them away. If he listened, it would actually enjoy this fight. Adrenaline was contagious, so this had to end quickly. But Samuel's punches began to slow and the opponent began to clench a fist. As a red knuckle launched at his face, Sam skipped back and balanced himself on one foot. The other foot curled back and a knee attacked the hip. Knocked off balance, the Replica fell to the ground. Before he could stand, Sam pinned him to the ground, handing forcing his wrists to the floor while his knees pinned his legs on the ground. When the tension on his appendages stopped, Sam released and stood. Whispers started, expressing how the defeat came so easily, how Sam used little of his abilities. The Hitmonchan grimaced at him as he started to stand. He wanted more, another chance, but a voice distracted the tiny gathering.
"Guy, everyone. A Throne here and she's battling." Wafts of excited breaths traveled, brushing his messy brown hair out of his face, but the bangs settled seconds afterward. Then the uncertainty started to sink in. Was the Throne Soul? Last he knew, she was at Karnavia, enjoying the festival. He loomed on the outskirts on the uncomfortable crowd where he caught a glimpse of Mind. Samuel's eyes narrowed at the woman. Ha, if only the rest of these fools could see the real Mind. Anyways, he ignored the woman and walked away. She was no threat to his charge today.
It wasn't long before he settled on a bench and threw his head over the curved wood, relaxing when the sharp hiss ruined his almost serenity.
"Hello, Samuel."
The wench found him. Amongst the chaos, she probably picked him out of the ground. Good eyes, he thought as he slowly opened his eyes. His green eyes blinked at her before narrowing. "Ah, hello Mind. Could you move? You're blocking my view of the sky." He flashed a smile, fake and spiteful as he could manage. He didn't wish to deal with her now. Without the other Guards or Soul, he sometimes forgot Mind was a Throne. Without them, she was just a conniving opponent that he could fight full force. There were a select few that Samuel actually wished to hurt and she boasted the top of that handful.

For once, Mind's smile was genuine. Very few things could bring out Mind's real smile, and messing with Samuel was high on the short list. His fake smile served to widen her own, closing her eyes to relish even the slight displeasure she had caused the Replica and imagine what she could do if only he weren't a Guard. Oh well, at least he was Soul's. Their relationship often offered the Zien Throne double the fun. Two is not always better than one. Shade fell across Mind's eyelids, cast by her bangs as the fog at last began to dissipate. Sunlight peaked out, filtered as though through pale linen curtains. But Mind was far more inclined towards the source of yellow energy below her. Her eyes opened again, ruby red shining out from beneath her pink-tinged locks like glowing blood. "Then I'm saving you from a boring sight aren't I? Shouldn't you thank me?" she giggled. Slim arms slipped around the Raikou, earning a few glares from passers-by. These glares and Samuel's own new nature were what protected the Throne from being attacked. The Zien savored her power. A fight in Valient town, even between a Zien and a Replica would not be so strange, but between a Throne and a Replica would cause quite a stir. Perhaps one day... It would be a delicious battle... Mind returned her attention to the man before her. "Unless you're lying. And naughty Replicas should be punished for lying, ne?" Mind tilted her head cutely, but what she was really doing was allowing only Samuel to see the sinister glint in her eyes and the cruelty lacing her features. It only lasted a moment before Mind swooped backwards. Her long hair swayed as she twirled around the edge of the bench to sit beside the Replica.

Mind was the most devilish creature to walk through Zien and she knew it. The geniune smile irked the Raikou. He tried to conceal the discomfort her expression caused, but the frown weighted his cheeks. His head jerked away from her gaze. Samuel was not used to the race of females, especially the wily ones like Mind, but he saw their encounters like a battle. She was using charm, but no way, Samuel wasn't for a cheap trick like that.
"Boring, no? There's nothing boring about a cloudless sky. Now your face, it's hurting my eyes and now my teeth are starting to hurt with that please-stop-it-sweet expression." He rolled his head, but before he could complete the annoyed movement, cold arms slinked around his muscular frame. Instinct yelled at him to claw at them, shock, them, or anything else to get it off. The eyes of observers stopped him. Here Mind had the power of the people. He spotted one of the onlookers from the brawl before, snickering. In a quick heartbeat, he slid to the opposite side of the wooden bench, away from Mind's reach. Unless she moved. Dear Arecus, hopefully the wench would go away.
But she didn't. She swayed her body in ways Samuel didn't know could be moved. Still, he gave a sickening cough, grimacing as if the mane of hair stung his face. Then she sat down beside him. Coldness was a rare feeling to him. He only experienced the temperature at the touch of an ice replica. But he felt radiating from Mind. Trying to distract himself from the femme devil, Samuel started to laugh, sharp and cold, and then he sighed heavily. "Wow, Mind. You're so confused. Shouldn't you see a doctor with all that lying. Unlike you, I have morals."
[/color]His fists gripped the bench. When he felt the wood crack, he loosened his grip. There was no way he could fight her. Though she was evil, he already betrayed himself by engaging the replica in battle. Perhaps words. "Where's your puppets? Hope you remembered to feed them in their tiny cages. It would be a shame to see them die and for you to be left alone, unguarded." Faint concern was his rusty skills. Actually, he failed with any interaction that involved words, especially sentences. word count; too lazy notes; i need to give you more to respond to, Mind. muse; so-so.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

~tHe HEART of MinD~ "Selphie, maybe this was a bad idea?" The wandering whisper keeper spoke softly. She had been walking for days, and really had not been doing much of anything. Her heart had not been broke in a while, which was a good feeling to her. However, the worry of not seeing Mind kept creeping inside as though she missed the woman. "Hmm... I know she is mean and all... but I cannot help it." A sigh escaped her lips as she continued her walk; it was a foggy morning people staring. Selphie, the Togetic just looked away lightly smiling at Heart trying to make her feel more comfortable, "Huh?" The one word, escaped her delicate lips. A commotion seemed to happening, near an open area. "What's going on?" A curious look came upon her face, as she walked near it. However, by the time she got there, the battle was already over.
It had not lasted long, which upset Heart, since she had not seen a battle in a long while. "At least... they had fu-" her little voice stopped short, as the crowd began to part. The face was familiar, and Heart and Selphie heard the voice of pure ‘light’. "It couldn't be..." Heart and Selphie looked at each other, wondering the same thing. Her body began to shiver a bit, as her own heart began to beat. "Mind? Oh! It is Mind!" The shivering stopped, as she began to jump. She had finally found someone she knew, but it was also bad since Mind was not very nice. “Well!" Selphie was shocked at the action Heart had taken, Mind was a rotten woman, and for some reason Heart was all right with it. Heart finally stopped her jumping, as she ran towards the woman. There was another one next to her, a guardian, as it seemed.
"Oh!" The girl quickly ran back to Selphie, smiling a bit. "Return, I don't want you getting hurt." Selphie shook her head, angry as ever. "But..." The Pokemon floated, still looking annoyed. "Fine..." A smile crossed her lips, as Heart walked back towards Mind once more, her Pokemon behind her. “Sorry for interrupting, that wasn’t very… nice of me.” Rubbing the back of her head, she looked to the side. “It’s good to see you.” Her voice was a bit shaky, and all Selphie did was kindly smile at Samuel waving ‘hello’ with her little hand. The day still seemed of foggy, but to Heart it was just one of those days were things do not look so great. Another sigh escaped her lips, as she sat on the ground silently looked up at the two. ” Maybe, I should not have said anything? Mind isn’t the best person to speak to at times… she is different.” Shaking her head, the girl stopped the thought, and continued listening to see if anything would even happen.

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place ) The creak of wood beneath the Raikou's fingers was slight, but enough to be heard from a few inches away. Playful glee danced on Mind's lips at the sound; she knew he was holding back, as he always did. He was like a carbonated drink, so much fun to shake, listening to the bubbles hiss inside until they couldn't stand the confines of their space any longer. The day Samuel popped was one to be anticipated. It would be a day to celebrate; Mind hoped she would be present, whether invited or not. Mind tossed her head back lightly at the Replica's words and laughed, the sound tinkling like brook water through the air, wreathing around people, into nearby ears, and reflecting off remnant fog. The early morning stream of people had trickled away after the fights ended and no more excitement could be found, but now the traffic was swelling again as travelers, Zien Replica, and Whisper keeper, awoke and stumbled into the streets for sustenence and to move forward in their journeys. Energy charged the air as electric type Replicas stretched and sparked in the morning air. "Unlike your charge, I don't need dogs watching over me all the time. I'm just fine without them for a while." A smirk within an innocent smile. "Speaking of, where is your precious Soul? Surely it is dangerous for her to not have you by her side." Someone's approach interrupted Mind's game. Pattering feet on rocky road, approach, turn and run back, and approach again. "Speaking of Thrones... Mind raised her head, her expression that of a warm greeting. Sorry for interrupting, that wasn’t very… nice of me. It's good to see you.” She replied to Heart's voiced apology, "Don't be silly, you're not interrupting." A quick glance of ruby red eyes took in no sign of Heart's guardians. Oliver is probably slacking off somewhere and Nate not far behind. She giggled at the thought. Oliver was a delight to play with. He was so easy to fool with her innocent child act. Ah, but Heart. She's so much easier to break without him around. Mind's eyes narrowed slightly, sadistic joy running through her veins. Her own special endorphins. "But should you be wandering around alone, Heart?" Mind stood as she spoke, almost gliding closer to the other Throne. Her movements, her demeanor, all spoke of sweetness to anyone watching. But she took an extra step closer than necessary, leaning towards the frail older girl. "Such a fragile thing," she continued, "among such ruffians; isn't that right, dear, Samuel?" Mind did not take her eyes off of Heart though her words switched target. Samuel sighed as he crossed his arms, fingers sparking to burn the splinters lodging in his skin. In all truth, his purpose for coming here was to spy on his soldiers and here he found Mind. Sure it was fun to antagonize the bitch, but now he was tired of her false demeanor. His eyes closed, transporting himself to a more peaceful location, but he was aware of every sound that surrounded him, especially Mind’s chalkboard voice.
“Ha,”
[/b]he said, opening more eye to peer at her sore face before closing it again. “Soul is more than capable of taking care of herself. Besides, dogs are loyal while birds…well they tend to want freedom and fly away. Perhaps that dark cage is the best for breaking their itty-bitty spirits.” [/b] Years ago, he could not speak such a bold statement without doubt, but he trusted the other guards. Though Xavier was too protective for his tastes, it relieved a hoard of stress. His emotions, along with his facial expressions, stayed still and firm as the insult flowed out of his mouth. Now this wasn’t fun anymore. It was easy to see where she would target. “Well, you don’t have to worry your pretty little head about her. No danger for her. Who would want to harm one hair of her head—aside from yourself?”[/color] The name mind spun in the air and Samuel could not place. He dismissed it as an admiring young man, fooled by false looks. Light footsteps opened his eyes and a voice turned his head. Heart, he thought. Looking at Mind, he noticed that disgusting look in her eyes. Right now, Heart could have turned into target number one. The guard felt a bit of pity for the Throne and he felt disappointment at the absence of her guards. Nate was young but should Oliver know better. His head craned back. Samuel wanted to ignore Heart since three’s a crowd, but he couldn’t help himself. “Hey, Heart,” he greeted. His smile was warm but guarded. Too nice and Mind would use that. Slowly, he stood, casual as ever. “You’re not interrupting at all. I bet your company your company would be most appreciated.” [/b]Indeed it was. Better than staring at Mind’s ugly maw. Then Mind spoke and he growled. Samuel couldn’t tell if the wily girl was baiting Heart or Samuel. His only desire was to knock Mind to the floor and return by Soul’s side, but he was unable to fight her, especially in Valiant. His rage started to burn, but after taking many deep breaths, he found some peace. “I don’t think Heart’s in any danger. Not like anyone would hurt her, would they?” [/size][/justify] [/blockquote] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

~tHe HEART of MinD~
"I don't really know, anyone that would want to hurt me. Plus I don't think Selphie or any of my other Pokemon would let that happen...or my guards." Heart blinked for a moment, as Selphie stayed close by. The little Pokemon may have been well 'small' but she was not going to let anyone harm Heart. Although she did wonder where the other so-called 'guards' of Heart were located, and they had been missing, and it would be rude to not see Heart at all. Shaking her tiny head Selphie looking at Mind, a small face of angry showed. Heart looked at her little friend, patting her on the head. "Its ok..." Selphie nodded still worried a bit, Heart was being too nice and that was not good. Nevertheless, nonetheless Selphie accepted her trainers, nice attitude. ” So Mind, Samuel what brings you here to this beautiful place?" The ticking words of Mind kept knocking into her head, she was alone now. Her guardians were not around and sometimes Selphie was just out of it. ” My guards are not ruffians... they are great guards...unlike you... I treat mine with respect..." Heart quickly closed her mouth; it was not like her to speak out of such terms. Even though she was a throne, she felt almost intimidated by Mind. ”I’ll stand up for myself..." Heart breathed slowly backing up from Mind, the space between them was needed. It was hard to swallow the words that sometimes came from Mind; the ones about her guards truly were not needed. They may have slacked off a bit, and even been late for important play dates. However, they were wonderful Heart could see they truly cared for her. "Selphie, you ok?" The little one nodded as she began to spin a bit, a small smile on her face. Heart had spoken out a bit, which was good she had not really done it before, and only hoped it would last. As Heart giggled at her Pokemon her eyes went back to Mind’s never leaving. The determination in her eyes was a bright one as she quickly looked away. A small ping of fear escaped into her little Heart as she tried shaking it off. The fact that she had stuck up for herself still stunned her little own, mind. She was always the insecure rabbit of the Throne family seeing Ziel for its beauty, since in her eyes that is all she ever saw. The people were happy and so was her Pokemon, though deep inside something sometimes felt wrong. It felt like a lie something her broken heart kept, thinking up. The factor always lingered in the back of her mind but she kept ignoring. "Hm? Not to interrupt from my other question...however is there anything your doing special today mind? Or maybe I shouldn't have asked…” Sighing a bit the girl, felt oddly annoyed at her own stupidity, as she felt as if the same question appeared and maybe, today things just were not going right for her. ” Never mind, forget I asked. Haha." Heart kept up a little smile, as she tilted her head with her hands behind her back listening.

[ I'M WIDE AWAKE AFTER THE RIOT , THIS DEMONSTRATION OF YOUR ANGUISH ]this empty laughter has no - - reason like a bottle of your( favorite poison ) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mind smirked, mischievousness and arrogance twisting her features into the expression cleverly, so as to keep the appearance of innocence to all but those who knew her, as Samuel did. The Throne recalled when the Replica would not have dared to speak so boldly. The other Guard's gave him courage, no doubt, for dogs never do so well on their own. Mind had never much cared for the foolish creatures, and was disgusted by how well they matched Soul. Sickening. "Oh, I have more than birds behind me..." she whispered, playing the words into the air like ghosts. Heart seemed almost confused by Mind's warning against danger. She was really a far better toy than Soul, though sometimes she could break too soon and cut short Mind's play. "Of course, you are right Heart, dear," she said, gracefully brushing off Samuel's remark. "But speaking of, where are your Guards? Goodness, it seems like they are all slacking off today." The Zien Throne glanced at the small pokemon floating by Heart. "Except for you, Selphie, dear. Always by Heart's side, aren't you? You should give those other ruffian Guards a lesson." Mind watched the words stick in the other Throne's mind, pausing in answering the poised question until the Whisper Keeper had to reply. "My guards are not ruffians... they are great guards... unlike you... I treat mine with respect." Mind's eyes flicked imperceptibly before widening into an injured gaze. "Why, Heart, I'm hurt. Of course I treat my Guards with all the respect they earn. Surely you of all people know how much my Guards adore me." 'Sadness' tugged down the corners of the Zien's lips, but she refrained from misty eyes. My, everyone is feeling daring today... Mentally, Mind sneered; it was one of the few expressions she had that could not be camouflaged as cute or innocent, so she normally kept it to herself. It was an expression to break down her mask should it escape, but Mind had long held a tight reign over her visage, exceeding the normal range of control. However, she didn't expect the near-teary act to be wholly effective; she had used it before. The Whisper Keeper held up and moved on. Mind sighed through her nose but allowed her lips to flicker back up as Heart spoke. "Did you have something in Mind, Heart dear?" She mimicked Heart's posture, linking her hands behind her back and tilting her head quizzically. "I am sure I can afford some free time from my duties.
