  Inferno was obtained as a Chimchar at Lake Verity when Pearl and Platinum were attacked by a wild Starly while searching for the lake's guardian. When they saw the brief case that Professor Rowan left behind, he reached for a random pokeball and out came his partner. The two have been through many battles together and the results have been his evolution to an Infernape.

  Traded from a fellow trainer when he was a Gabite, he and Diamond fought many battles together until he eventually became a Gachomp. Besides Inferno, Drago is his main Pokemon of choice in battles.

  Caught as a Haunter near the grave site of his father, Diamond befriended this Pokemon as it was the one who cheered him up as he grieved for his father.

  Revived from an Armor Fossil from underground, Diamond knew that this Pokemon would be extremely powerful in battles. But he did not expect it to be such a kind creature towards him and his team.

  Baek was the first Pokemon Diamond ever literally caught in the wild as a Shinx. He uses this Pokemon very often for both battles and for dark situations as if he is in a cave with no light he would have Baek use Flash.
