♣OUTGOING -- a person lacking little shame. gold is extremely outgoing, and although he's extremely competitive, gets along with most everyone. he rarely worries about embarrassing himself with his actions unless it is through battling.
♣KIND HEARTED -- once one gets to know him, he is shown to be very kind to his friends and would risk his life to protect one of them. especially for his pokémon, of whom he considers his partners.
♣HAPPY GO LUCKY -- never worries about too much. he seems to be in a good mood a lot and he doesn't get concerned very easily. he seems to have a smile on his face a lot and if he falls down he always gets back on his feet.

♣MISCHIEVOUS -- he tends to often break the rules and use his skills to get around things. examples of such would be his tendency to cheat while playing billiards by replacing the billiard ball with a pokéball.
♣FLIRT -- although he has stated he enjoys being single, he often tends to flirt with any girl he finds pretty. he often mistakes feminine boys as girls and gets himself into embarrassing situations because of his actions.
♣IMMATURE -- is what his mother would often describe him as. even with his older age, he still hasn't gotten himself a very mature personality. he still enjoys giving his friends and rivals nicknames based on what they do.
♣HOT HEADED -- he tends to get angry easily after a loss and will constantly argue with his rivals.
♣ARROGANT -- gold tends to get rather proud of himself after an excellent win. he tends to believe that he is the best trainer there is and isn't one to hide this belief.

EXPLOTARO / BLAZE
Gold received Explotaro when it was just a small Cyndaquil during the first day of his journey. The two have gone through thick and thin by each others side and thus have an extremely strong bond with each other. Since Gold was even more competitive when he started out on his journey, Explotaro is the main powerhouse of his team and is normally the Pokémon holding the leader position. Explotaro has adopted much of Gold's own personality, in how he hates losing and can sometimes act stubborn for other people, but Explotaro would do anything to protect Gold.
AEON / VOLT ABSORB
Aeon is the first Pokémon that Gold got on his journey. Although he didn't received the Pokémon through battle and capture. Gold found Aeon when it was still an Eevee after it had been attacked and injured by a wild Staraptor. He took care of it until it was well enough to go off on its own, but by then the Pokémon had become extremely attached to him and has since then journeyed alongside Gold. As the only female on Gold's team, Aeon is a rather sweet Pokémon and it tends to be the peace-maker. It's always by Gold's side whenever he's upset about something, though not often, and has a strong bond with Gold's Typlosion.
ZORRO / INTIMIDATE
Zorro is one of Gold's walling Pokémon. It can withstand almost any attack that's thrown at it. Zorro is one of Gold's older Pokémon that he caught several Pokémon after he got Aeon. It picked up on the competitive part of Gold's personality and is always looking for a fight. It's not a rare occurrence that Zorro will pick a fight with any Pokémon that it comes across, diving in from the sky to make for a surprise attack. As such, Gold will often keep it within it's Pokéball unless using it for battle.
Another thing about Zorro is it's un-usually large size compared to others of it's type. Gold often uses the Pokémon for transport across the region.
SOLITUDE / STEADFAST
Solitude traded his Sudowoodo for Solitude, keeping the original name. The two have not traveled together for long, yet the Pokémon is already willing to follow most of Gold's commands. He can be a bit stubborn, but once he chooses to battle he's an excellent physical and special attacker. Unlike many Pokémon, Solitude actually prefers to spend most of his time in his Pokéball, Solitude has yet to gain a strong bond with Gold and his other Pokémon. Although Gold is trying his hardest to gain a connection with the stubborn Pokémon.
KIIRA / OVERGROW
Out of all the Pokémon that Gold has gathered on his adventure and journey, Kiira was the one that started out as the most stubborn before finally gaining a strong connection with Gold. He received it from the day care center several weeks after the Pokémon had hatched from it's egg and nobody had come to retrieve it. Kiira started out stubborn and with a lack of trust for humans it didn't know, it had picked up on the hints that someone was suppose to pick him up, but never did, so he was always wary of people other than the Day Care Couple, although at first he looked forward to the new ownership, after the weeks passed and he was never picked up, he started to become secluded and less anxious at the arrivals of new people. The Day Care Couple felt bad for the Pokémon and decided to give it to Gold to take care of. At first Kiira was extremely stubborn, always wandering off and never willing to battle. After Gold and his Pokémon rescued Kiira after he fell in a raging river did the Pokémon begin to open up to him. It has since then evolved into Grovyle and afterwards Sceptile and has become a loyal partner to Gold. He loves to battle now and is always in constant rivalry with the Pokémon of Gold's rivals.
ROLAN / PICKUP
Rolan is the most recent addiction to Gold's team. He received it as an egg when he got Kiira and it hatched not long after the then Treecko began to warm up to Gold. Fortunately for Gold the Pokémon adopted most of his positive traits and not many of his negative ones. Of all his Pokémon it's the most out-going and loves to fight. It often picks up useful items for Gold using it's ability, which is a great help to Gold.
Rolan has the strongest connections with both Gold and Aeon because the Jolteon tended to him while he was still an egg. Something he sub-consciously remembers from while he was in the egg. Rolan will often get jealous if Gold is focusing more attention on his other Pokémon rather than on him.
